World Wide Web

Web search (currently uses lite.duckduckgo.com):

Writing HTML documents? Here's an archive of HTML 2.0 as published by the Internet Engineering Task Force. You may also find an archive of Putting Information onto the Web as published by the World Wide Web Consortium.

Following these documents, although not necessarily required, are a great way to make sure your pages work on virtually any browser. As Sir Tim Berners-Lee put it best in Technology Review (July 1996): "Anyone who slaps a 'this page is best viewed with Browser X' label on a Web page appears to be yearning for the bad old days, before the Web, when you had very little chance of reading a document written on another computer, another word processor, or another network." Cari D. Burstein created a web page about the Viewable with Any Browser campaign if you would like to know more about it.

If you wish to use another HTML version, you may do so, but NEXT does not carry a copy of other HTML specifications.

The PGP public key for both asm@next.gen.oh.us and asm@gnu.org. If you want to verify one of my tarballs on ftp.next.gen.oh.us or ftp.gnu.org, this is the key you're looking for.

Finally the part about Anton

Like Dan Bornstein wrote on his own home page: Remember, it's not a home page unless you have something extremely self-centered on it!

Current projects

NEXT (*.next.gen.oh.us): my favorite domain name that I have the ability to use for anything. It also houses my private GNU/Linux shell computer named oce.next.gen.oh.us (aka Ocelot).

Writing

My science fiction writing is a part of the series called The Life Outside Known Space. So far, no actual books have been published from it.

The Ultimate Sacrifice: A short story written and published in 2022 that follows the events that take place in the space center and capitol city following the perceived very tragic chain of failures that occurred during the launch of the first "Bright Future" rocket.

Humor

Some of my puns, haiku, and poems. There is another IDJWIJLS "PT" as of 2023.

You may have time traveled in a different timeline already (March 2022).
